OUR STORY
Met and fell in love with my 5th generation farmer in 1992 (The same year I fell in love with this farm for the very first time). We were high school sweethearts and married in 1998. We have accomplished many different things in those years. One dream of mine was to own a farm wedding venue. It was always in the back of my mind, but we were too busy raising 5 kids and working on other dreams. Little did I know, it was simply God's timing I was waiting on. 24 years later that farm I fell in love with became ours and here we are now. It's such a blessing to be right here on the farm and watch my husband and son farm while the girls and I live out our dreams. A lot goes into a dream like this and I'm so grateful that we get to do this together as a family.

Thank you for checking out our website. We are officially entering our 6th year as an official wedding venue and each year we love what we do more and more. We are a mother/daughter team here running all things at Whippoorwill Farm. Our goal is to make you feel like family. Your wedding day is so important to us and we want you to always feel that comforting connection. Our daughter Avery is one of our 5 children and she is the one who is my right hand gal. She has officially started her own Day of Coordinating service here. She has different packages to offer if you are interested in her services. We are scheduling tours so be sure to go to the contact page to get yours set up!
Some of our unique highlights of the farm is the fact that we have multiple barns to use. We have a beautiful 1890 barn that is used for hosting your cocktail hour and dance floor. It is also used as a indoor rain option for your ceremony. It has a large stunning cross window that faces West and when the sun is setting it boasts the most beautiful warm glow. We have tables and chairs on one end for seating and views of the dance floor. We also have cozy wood booth seating and a couple vintage couches for that cozy vibe on the other end. The dance floor is centered in the barn with doors that open on the north and south side. The south side gives you amazing views of the courtyard and the north side has the most incredible view overlooking our gorgeous outdoor ceremony location. We have an indoor bar option conveniently located just off the dance floor. It also has an upper level that is framed with a whimsical basket arch as you reach the top of the stairs. As you enter the mezzanine you are greeted with a cozy couch seating area and then you find more intimate seating with tables and chairs. It is also has the best view overlooking the dance floor and an impeccable view of the stunning cross window. This barn also has a lower level with another indoor ceremony space already set up with pews. (It can hold approximately 150 people. )
We have our 50 x 90 dinner barn that is climate controlled and has a more industrial feel with 2 large glass garage doors. One facing the east and one facing that west that view the most stunning sunsets. It also views our 60+ acre apple orchard which is one of the favorite spots for golden hour photos! The walls are 15 feet tall that reach a gorgeous barrel roof ceiling with unique lattice style truss work and beautiful chandeliers. We added corbels and hanging greenery to add elegance to the interior. The color pallet is mostly white with touches of black and warm wood tones. So any color you add to make your decor specific to you will flow seamlessly. We also have a beautiful black open shelving cabinet with marble cake stands to display your desserts in the most beautiful way.
Our outdoor ceremony spot captures you right at the parking lot when you are welcomed by our beautifully stamped sidewalk that is framed with custom arches. We have young apple trees growing up the sides and as they mature they will fully reach over giving a living canopy covered walkway. Again giving more unique photo opportunities. Just imagine that in full bloom. As you continue to walk ahead the sidewalk will divide, straight ahead will take you into the rest of the venue. The path to right is the most dreamy entrance to your ceremony site. Continuing with the same beautifully stamped walkway that is lined with billowing hydrangeas on both sides leading up to most grand arch top wood doors. These doors are closed just for the bride, where she will take a deep breath to calm the butterfly feelings building inside. Giving just enough time to create that dramatic pause before the doors open. This is when your guests get to witness the two of you share that first moment before you say your vows together. As you continue to walk down the aisle that is lined on both sides with gorgeous wood benches (able to seat approx. 300 guests). The sidewalk also has a strip of green grass on either side to add softness leading up to the covered ceremony spot where the bride and groom and officiant will stand. As your guests sit in viewing area they enclosed on the sides with beautiful trellises covered in wisteria and butterfly bushes between. Giving an outdoor garden room feel. The backdrop to your bridal party is an espalier designed row of apple trees giving an aesthetically pleasing look, which is then layered behind with a row of grapevines. All of which are in front of a large pasture that has the most loved and admired donkey Jack and his companion Jill. Also accompanied by two loving goats Willow and Wiley. The are just enough to add charm and whimsy to the farm that your guests love to enjoy at the gate during cocktail hour and after.
The next special area is our courtyard. It is centered on the farm surrounded by 3 different barns each giving their own unique style and backdrop . In this courtyard we also have the most charming corn crib we turned into the outdoor bar area. Definitely the favorite choice of not only the bartenders but the guests too. Our courtyard is once again graced with the gorgeous stamped sidewalks leading to each unique location. Follow the pathway to our grain-bin gazebo with it's charming arched features where we have bistro tables set up for you to sit back and enjoy the farm. Our gazebo was also featured in an issue of Farmhouse Style magazine. This is also the perfect location to enjoy yard games. (We will provide 3 sets bags and boards if you wish). You will also find convenient outdoor entrances to our climate controlled and handicap accessible restrooms. (which also have an entrance inside the dinner barn.)
This leads to the other barn that backs up to the courtyard that earned the whimsical nickname of "The Hen Den". The barn is also climate controlled. The brides literally swoon when they walk in the French door where you are greeted by a beautiful rounded cream couch that is center of attention as you walk in. The color scheme is soft creams and warm wood tones graced with different styles of chandeliers and beautiful mirrors scattered about. This barn also features 24 feet of counter workspace for your hair and make up stylists. It also has dedicated area to set out snacks to keep you fueled as you get ready. It also has a small refrigerator/freezer and microwave. We have a charming wall staged with hooks to hang your gown and bridesmaids dresses for the perfect photo opportunity. Two spacious dressing rooms and a private bathroom.
Don't worry we didn't forget about our very important groom! We have a space for you too. It is also climate controlled. We have an extra large tv in there with wi-fi access and very comfortable couches. This is the perfect space to get changed and hide away before your big debut. We have a space to hang your suits and put away the clothes you change out of. We also provide a small refrigerator/freezer and a table to set out food if needed.
Last but not least we have "The Borrow Barn". This is another favorite of mine. We know how expensive weddings can get. So after our children got married we donated decor items to this barn. It has since grown and continues to grow. We have been given so many beautiful donations from past couples that love the pay it forward idea. In fact we have even been given donations from couples that weren't even married here. Neighbors have even contributed. The best part is, there is no charge to use these items.
